Who should come on a Many Chief Tour?

  • Our Walking Tours are conducted at a comfortable pace along the paved and gravel pathways in Calgary’s beautiful parks.

  • Individuals, families, groups and anyone interested in learning more about Indigenous culture and history will enjoy the tours.

 

What should I bring with me?

  • We recommend comfortable walking shoes, hiking boots are not required. We recommend checking the weather forecast and plan accordingly. Other recommended items to bring would be a camera, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and reusable water bottles.

 

How do I book my Many Chief Tour?

  • Follow the links within our website and you will be directed to pre-purchase your tickets. 

  • All of our tours are booked through a booking site providing you a secure page to make payment.  If you encounter any problems with booking, please reach out to us for assistance.

  • If you have a larger (10+) group, please contact us.

Is there a special rate for Indigenous participants from Treaty Seven?

  • We believe in supporting cultural preservation and cultural learning for members of Treaty Seven and do not want to create barriers to learning within our communities. If you are a member of the Siksika Nation, Kainai Nation, Piikani Nation, Tsuu t'ina Nation, or the Stoney Nakoda Nations we do not charge admission for individuals to join the tour. Please connect with us at info@manychief.com to make arrangements. Regular fees apply to private tours. 

 

Is there parking available?

  • Parking is available at each tour starting location. After you purchase your ticket, you’ll receive an email with parking information.

 

Are children allowed?

  • Our tours are recommended for ages 7 and older. If you have children under the age of 11 and would like to have them join the tour please connect with us prior to booking. For private booking there will be an associated cost due to the additional logistics regarded for private bookings.

Are pets allowed?

  • No, we ask that you do not bring any type of pets on the tour.

 

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

  • Yes, advance purchase is required for the tours.

 

I booked online, do I need to print a copy of ticket?

  • You do not have to print your ticket.

  • For our tours you may keep these for informational purposes within your email.

  • You may be asked to provide some form of ID to verify your purchase.

 

Are bathrooms available during the tour?

  • There are public washrooms available on the Mokkinstsis Tour, but unfortunately there are no bathroom available on Siksikaitsitapi Medicine Wheel Tour.

 

What do we do in case of bad weather?

  • The tours are held rain, shine, or snow. Please check the weather conditions for your days event and dress appropriately

 

Does the tour come in other languages?

  • At this time, we do not offer tours in any other languages except English. For an extra fee, and enough time to arrange, we could accommodate additional languages. We cannot ensure that the translator will be Indigenous, but the Indigenous guide will still lead the tour.

 

Do you support corporate groups or private groups?

  • Yes we do. We can accommodate a variety of special requests including; family reunions, birthday parties, out of town guests, wedding events, corporate entertaining, outings and team building, and conventions activities. Please note reselling of discounted group tours will result in immediate cancellation and your group and/or organization will not be welcome on any of the tours offered.
